Youíve dreamed of having a child, but now that it is happening, are you wondering how this person will come into the world? Our comprehensive class covers most aspects of pregnancy, labor and stages of baby postpartum. We offer techniques for coping with labor using a variety of relaxation methods and comfort measures. We address caring for yourself both during pregnancy and after delivery, when to go to the hospital, and how to take care of your baby for the first few days after giving birth. The focus is to provide you with as much information about the birthing process as possible.

These small people should come with directions! This class is the essential introduction to life with a newborn we will take you from birth through your first few weeks with your infant. You will learn how to keep your baby happy and healthy. Using doll models, we will practice bathing, diapering, swaddling, reducing risk factors for SIDS, nail clipping, umbilical cord and circumcision care, sleeping and feeding schedules, and techniques for comforting your baby. We will also talk about breastfeeding basics, how to check a temperature, and when to call the pediatrician. This class will build confidence and hopefully introduce you to others going through the same journey.
